Baked Bean Curry using Bush’s® Baked Beans

I have always loved a good curry dish but have been trying to incorporate more “meatless” options for dinner and decided to swap the traditional Chicken for Bush’s® Baked Beans and create a delicious 20-minute Butter Bean Curry using Bush’s® Maple Style Baked Beans. I especially love this brand because their beans are slow cooked with a signature blend of spices, Bush’s® Baked Beans are perfect for any meal – available in 7 delicious flavors!

Be sure to try this out for your next family dinner, I enjoyed turning pure bean goodness into meal greatness with Bush’s® Beans! It was such a crowd pleaser in our house, and I found the maple flavor in this product really brings out the sweeter side in the curry that I personally loved. Instead of using a can of traditional baked beans, it saved me not only time but cost on ingredients just by incorporating this product into the recipe. This recipe was only 11 ingredients and took less than 20 minutes to create.

Baked Bean Curry using Bush’s® Baked Beans Recipe:

-2 Tablespoons of Olive Oil -1 Can of Bush’s® Maple Style Baked Beans -1 Medium Chopped Onion -½ tsp Ground Ginger -1 Tablespoon Garlic

-1 Tablespoon Garam Masala -1 tsp Cumin -½ tsp Paprika -½ tsp Chili powder -1 Small Can Tomato Paste -1 ½ Cups Half and Half

Directions: 1. In a large pan on medium/high heat, add your olive oil and onions until lightly brown. 2. Add Ginger, Garlic and let it simmer for one minute. 3. Add Tomato Paste, and remaining seasonings and simmer for 1-2 min. 4. Add Bush’s® Maple Style Baked Beans, Half and Half and reduce heat to low stirring occasionally for 10-15 min. 5. Serve over a bed of rice! *Key tips: -Be careful not to cook beans over high heat to avoid them breaking or getting a mushy texture, we want them whole and delicious for this recipe. -You can substitute the Half and Half for cream if you want a thicker consistency however, I found it a nice balance with just the Half and Half.
